Abhik Chowdhury is a fourth-year computer science student. Recently he has taken key roles in starting the Blockchain Innovation Society, Data Analytics Club, and is working to support the next generation of skilled hardware engineers at ASU. He has had leadership positions in the Software Developers Association, NASA Space Grant and Sun Devil Robotics teams. Over the past year he had been working with the Luminosity Lab implementing solutions on the forefront of robotics, IOT, machine learning and hardware design. Beyond his passion for engineering he also has a third-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and enjoys Latin and swing dancing at ASU.
Outside of ASU he makes loves to keep up with local entrepreneurs, stay informed on the latest developments in cyber security, and engage with the greater community of experts in the Phoenix area whenever he needs help. He is working with a few non-profits, No More Deaths to Implement a mesh sensor network in Southern Arizona to collect data and better get resources to people, and another named Service Place, whose goal is to provide scalable elder care using IOT. He has worked for a few multinational companies such as American Express, Workiva and the like, implementing cloud and mobile solutions.
He is currently working to leverage emerging technologies such as blockchain, machine learning, and the IOT to build a future where every person has the resources and ability to change the world for the better.
